Who IS This Idiot?

Here’s the deal, I am constantly amazed at how stupid I can be and yet still appear to be a functional member of society.

I have the kind of job in which people trust me to manage many tasks and spend a lot of money, I maintain a decent household, I even graduated from college with honors, but still, I will often have moments of pure ridiculousness. Moments that cause me to say to myself, “Well, that wasn’t very Mary Tyler Moore of me, now was it?” Moments that give me pause and make me wonder how I even manage to do the most basic of things.

I am a capable person, so this kind of idiocy used to really frustrate me, until I learned how to laugh at myself.

And so…in the interest of keeping myself humble and not taking myself too seriously, I will now post, for all the world to see, the stupid things that I periodically (or, perhaps far too often) do.

Laugh a little. Feel my pain a little. Enjoy the fact that somewhere out there, there is someone who is a bigger idiot than you.

Grab a slice of humble pie and a scoop of homestyle vanilla ice cream and tune in for some fun. No need to adjust your vertical hold, I truly am this big an idiot.
